At least he didn't kill or hurt anyone. If he gets cleaned up and gets straight, and leaves the stuff alone, why doesn't he deserve another shot? Ain't nobody perfect out here, and some of us have to overcome some serious demons. Some of the best contributors to our industry have encountered a few bumps in the road, you know. I can definitely tell you from personal experience.

I believe his point was that the “Few” of us that have crossed that route(back in the days), have learned and grown out of it. And “YES”…… we were very fortunate that at least “I” didn’t hurt anyone. And btw, I knew my limits when NOT to be behind the wheel. Just saying. The ones that never have touched anything(back in the days) will have there own personal opinions which are always negative and will try to start a “peeing” match.

it's getting (or gotten) way out of hand, and simple "slapping on the wrist and let'em go attitude" of the courts MUST stop.

trucking companies need to not even look at any application(s) if the acronym SAP is listed anywhere, nor should they look at any application, where ANY arrest was made for drugs, paraphernalia, alcohol, assaults, tickets of speeding, or accidents.

no, no one is perfect, but until trucking companies STOP hiring meat for the seat, the killing 80,000 pound machines will continue, as well as all those nuclear verdicts.
