Trucking School Recommendations

    Can anyone recommend any good trucking schools in the Middle Tennessee Area? I have my CLP, 1-Year DOT Medical Card (restricted to one year due to HBP), no tickets, and no criminal record. Should I go through company paid CDL training or go to my local TCAT (community college).

    Also, will having a 1-Year DOT Medical card due to mental health issue and HBP restrict me in terms of employment?

    TDI in Christiana, TN just slightly south of Murfreesboro, TN. 800 242-SEMI. It's next to Loves I-24 exit 89.

    Also, in Shelbyvile the state vocational tech school TCAT offers CDL school for about $2100. There may be a waiting list. ANY CDL SCHOOL is ok. It's just a course to pass state driving test. Find a company you want to work for before going to CDL school.

    Some TCAT (vo-tech) locations have CDL. I think one of the Nashville has CDL. Shelbyville TCAY has CDL.
