Small cut on steer tire tread, appears superficial to me. Would you worry about this?

A cut that is no deeper than the tread is a non-issue unless it comprises the stability of a large block of tread.

And open it with a flat blade screwdriver. If it's to the belts, it needs to go soon. $$$

    Shiny makes me whiny.

Its on top of the tyre so not an issue, if however it was on the side wall of the tyre I'd be a little bit more concerned.

Only issue I would have is just because it's small doesn't mean it's not deep.
Put a little (soapy) water on it to make sure it's not punctured and check for leaks
It's very likely being a steer it will be noticable if it did leak, but not so much on drives.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Not the correct way to ride out a blowout.
