Yesterday I was in the trainer's truck from 0600-1915.

Spent the day in the psgr seat. My employee number hasn't been issued yet, so I can't log in to PNet as the driver. I know, I KNOW.......I could log it on paper, but that's not their style.

We were headed for the truck when the trainer asked if I had anything with long sleeves, since my uniform shirts haven't come in yet.

Only thing in the car was a black......hooded.......sweatshirt.

We've had highs around 90 for the past week.......

So I wore the sweatshirt when we were loading at the air separation plant, but was able to ditch it at the customer locations.

I got in and out of the truck moar times yesterday than I had for the entire month of July.........

I ain't OTR anymore, fo sho.

I'm actually counting on the enhanced truck entry/exit count to help mitigate my Big Fat Fatness.....If it doesn't kill me first.

Today the other new guy and I started a 3-day powerpoint and multiple choice test extravaganza, after which we will be fully qualified to sign our own shipping tickets.

Then I'll be back in the trainer's truck until the company is confident that I won't be a rolling menace 2 society.

I got a coupon in my email from Waffle House. It's my annual birthday Free Waffle.

They didn’t have those sleeves that attach to short sleeves?

    Can’t remember the technical term..

Yup, it's easy to find. Turn off the pavement at the old re-load, follow the A line to the creek, take the bridge road at the bottom, go past where Bill rolled the short logger last year, past SP's reprod, up the hill to the old corrals and at the fiveway follow the road marked with red ribbon. Stay off the culverts in the switchbacks. They're new.
The spur is another mile. You'll see the tracks. Terry's brother is falling above the road so watch out for rollers coming down at you. There's some exchange students from Porterville loading culls on the first round. They don't speak very good English and don't understand mile markers. They load after all the saw logs load, but they'll sleep on the landing and try to claim firsts. Their English gets a lot better when you tell them to get off the job and not come back.
Pick up four five gallon cans of hydraulic fluid at the shop and a skidder tire at Schwab's when you go through town.
Get three loads if you can.

Ha I wish ! Those ####ers are quick and very rarely ever poke their head out of the hole. Smoke bombs down the tunnel they come squirming out quick to the other side of the tunnel to a freshly set trap. Me and my buddies had the technique down pat.. Those things do a lot a lot of damage to a golf course

Seems I can never learn from the mistake of consuming the truck stop burrito.
