Nice catch!!! Worth pushing for until you are happy. They probably short change every driver in this situation and 3/4 don’t even try to push back so they are money ahead most if the time.
Good Luck!!!

Walmart basically told me to go pound sand after I inquired about getting paid for lost wages while the truck is in for repairs. So I deposited the check they sent me today for the repair estimate. In all honesty I’m surprised they did that without a real fight.

Took six days off last week while one of my daughters was in was in town with our granddaughter.
This week has been weird for me as far as freight. Loads got canceled or just turned into a CF. I grabbed a load yesterday at the Marine corps logistics base going up to Dover AFB for a Monday morning delivery. Nice light load only weighing 6K. Got home yesterday afternoon, and I will roll out Sunday morning headed up to Delaware.
I took the trailer up for a Landstar inspection this morning, and also got a PM done on the truck. I’m scheduled to get the camshaft replaced up at Pittsburgh power at the end of the month, but I’ve been getting a few other estimates locally. They range from $7-$10, it would be more convenient to get it done locally, but we’ll see.Speed_Drums, dwells40, RStewart and 1 other person Thank this. -

So Monday I will be putting my truck in the shop locally here in Charlotte to get the cam replaced, along with the cam follower/rocker lobe on the #1 cylinder on the intake side. Most likely be down for 4 to 5 days. I bought the cam, and the shop we’ll get everything else that’s needed. The shop I’m using gives Landstar BCOs a discount on labor, so luckily that will save me a few hundred dollars.
