I got the 700 watt basic microwave from Walmart 2 1/2 years ago and it's still going strong too. I think it might outlast the truck, it seems pretty sturdy. I put the glass plate under my duffle bag, it's easier than wrapping it in a towel.
I also use a Hot Logic warmer, and it's great. Dinner is ready when I stop that way, and I often get so distracted with eating I forget to change the duty status after doing my post trip inspection. It works great for leftovers as well as frozen tv dinners.

Put a big folded up towel in the microwave when not in use,it keeps the glass tray from bouncing around.

I still don't understand why Volvo insists on that stupid cubby above the closet on the passenger side that's meant for an old style TV! Most microwaves won't fit! I had to downsize a bit.

Had to remove the TV mount ( I don't use it) and it slid right in!
