Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

If you figure your wage into your cost per mile, and your wage covers your personal expenses…is that foolish? They’re one in the same thing there. Pretending your personal expenses don’t exist to cook your cpm number is foolish.

Many are misunderstanding what I’m saying. I agree that using one bank account for all income and expenses is not the best idea. Separate you business and personal account to keep clearer pictures of your situation. But to say you shouldn’t factor your own personal expenses into the equation is beyond foolish.

 

Speaking of sober women from Facebook, did you ever figure driver pay into your $1.30-$1.40 a mile operation or did anyone tell them they may be working for free?

 

Well. Not that it's any of your business, but I'll share this....Truck 2 had a new house built two years ago, and it's basically doubled in value.

He and his wife are going to Cancun next week for a few weeks.

Right now he's at like $220K to the truck.

So The OM and I aren't sure how he does it, that's why we seek advice from the esteemed members.

Fat fingers….anyway, many people get by right on the edge of not having any money. One hiccup and they’re done. Nobody seems to be able to save money anymore.

 

Especially my wife.
Lucky for her, I do.

 

I’m not sure who is being spoken about here, but one at the top of my mind that went out of business was Tow Piglet. He expanded when rates were high and brought on owner operators, was bragging about how much his business was grossing, but then didn’t have the money when his insurance renewal was due.

Since I brought up new houses, The OM said to show ours.

It's only gone up a $100K in 16 months, but that includes the build time.

I'm confident that someday following the esteemed members, we will figure this out.
