this is the factory Peterbilt fan in my ‘67. Most were all black but they had a o/o spec chrome one back then. The base is heavy an uses 4 bolts. Totally different then the ones bought today. The wires go down through hole in dash at the bottom of base and are hidden. The wire in the pic is my dashcam.
This fan has been rebuilt probably 50 times over the years because replacements are not the same. As long as the truck is running and you are in the seat the fan is running 95% of that time too.

‘51 Diamond-T. Made a stainless steel mount by folding a piece of sheet as a spring to absorb the vibration of the truck. The whipping and bouncing breaks the fan heads off. That is the reason for the hose clamp on the one in my Pete also. Just a little extra support.

P.s. had to get close up of the spinner knob and tall shifter because @Catmando doesn’t like spinners and we all know how tall shifters trigger hatred in others. Lol! All in fun.

‘72 white. Mounted it up top because it still has a hard to find flawless blue fiberglass dash top and I wasn’t gonna drill it.

With the state of fossil fuel futures you may need that to propel the truck instead.
