You are correct! I ran a dual wheeled one onto a trailer backed up to the loading dock at a Tubb Equipment in Jackson when I was beginning. Was misting rain and trailer had hauled drill mud previously. When it contacted the mud it slid sideways a little better than 18”, I jammed and held brakes. Sitting there running it kept sliding from vibrations of engine running I guess, until one dual was off the trailer and half the width of a steer tire was off. I screamed like a little girl, Shop man ran and grabbed a dozer that was close to try to push it back onto trailer. Afore he could get there the steer tire fell of and it started over and I stepped off onto the trailer deck. Thing turned bottom upwards on the gravel sounding like a train wreck. My boss wasn’t happy but he didn’t fire me, and I was really shook up. I had to show my worth and be nice for a while.

And never ever touch the brakes on a backhoe when loading onto a dovetail trailer. Ever!

Not to speak out of turn but folks should be aware that not all trailers should be side loaded, as they can be damaged. Just a heads up to know your equipment capabilities.

Yep— bow hunts for deer and antelope start around the first of September— elk around mid September. Rifle hunts start late September for antelope, 1st of October for deer, middle of October for elk general speaking

Watched another good old movie I hadn’t seen in a while.

I know there’s another Force 10 from Navarone the Sequel.

That's correct. However, the Pipeline companies don't care. I've side loaded Dozers.o_O Then drove down highways for 10 miles.
