Wednesday was under local anesthesia. And because I knew exactly what they were doing, I was borderline passed out. When it was over, I told my wife exactly what transpired, minute by minute. She almost fainted.

Rebelchick, can you tell us who you are driving for?

Dropped my New Castle Boar's Head load yesterday evening and then bobtailed down to get some Indian food. Got enough to last me 4-5 days.
Subsequent load assignment came through on my way to New Castle: Bobtail over to Pepsico in Lockbourne, right around the corner from Boar's Head Groveport, and haul a pre-loaded trailer to the WalMart DC in Shelby, NC. Grab whatever empty there was on the WalMart lot, and haul it to Gatorade Wytheville.
That was a solid 10 hours and change of driving. On the way there, got a call from the Wytheville load planner and we discussed options. Rather than drop the empty at Gatorade, drop it on the Wytheville yard instead. Then pick up a preloaded trailer on the Wytheville yard and take it to the Best Buy DC in Findlay, OH. Databanks were suitably updated.
Arrived at the WalMart DC with 23 minutes left on my clock. Found the empty. Moseyed my way down to the PFJ in Blacksburg, SC. Will get up in the AM to make the trip to Findlay.
After that, I'll have about 4 hours left on my 70 and none coming back until Monday night. So I expect to take a 34 in Findlay.Silverdriver, Lonesome, navypoppop and 2 others Thank this. -
Looks like there's big doin's a-transpiring over in Wytheville. Seems they're building us a new parking lot up on the hill behind the current office building (which, for you folks who don't work for Abilene, is basically just an old house that's been reconverted to an office). Looked to me like a pretty steep incline, but I guess we'll see how it looks a year from now.
After they get the parking lot built up there, they're gonna tear down the old house/office and build a shiny new building complete with two repair bays.Silverdriver, jarhead0311, Finfn1372 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Sitting in my recliner this morning having a cup of coffee, then the unthinkable happens, I get a load assignment. I packed my belongings in the truck last night, so that was one less thing to do this morning. Finished my coffee, grabbed the Chocolate Lab and took care of the important thing first, went for a swim. Now sitting in Miami getting loaded for Richmond.
Me and the Lab taking care of business this morning.Flatbedder 1966, 4mer trucker, Lonesome and 6 others Thank this. -

It sounds like Abilene has some money to burn. I noticed yesterday while watching the NASCAR race from Richmond, that they also have the company logo on the wall of the racetrack.
