Not going to bother those strawberries. Produce has a decent shelf life. Try again.

I'll go with the people posting the limits lol.

In seriousness though, I'm sure you've been on roads with a ridiculously low posted speed limit, and asked yourself why it's posted so low? There's a stretch of road nearby that I frequent. The road was build in the early 2000's, and designed with future growth in mind - something Penndot isn't known for. 70 mph on that road feels just right on that road, and everyone does it. But it's posted at the breakneck speed of 55. As Sammy Hagar screams 'I can't drive 55', so too does anyone who's ever dared to actually run the posted limit. Heck even JB Hunt speeds through there.

and why would you need to trigger Australians? What is missing in your life that you need to do that?

Because common sense & the laws of physics dictate that if all vehicles traveling in the same direction on the same roadway are traveling at the same speed, the likelihood of a collision is extremely slim.

naa the guys who run slower because of avoiding super truckers would most likely run a bit slower to accomplish the same goal. Usually I’ve been running 60-62 past few months and I’m liking it.

The studies that proved that. At least the ones that I know of that were done by the Michigan State Police, Ohio State Police, Caltech and the Province of Ontario that found split speed limits cause accidents were ignored when they thought saving the public from those scary trucks was going to score them some cheap political points. Ontario is the most egregious case, we had split limits here at one time, 70mph for passenger vehicles and 60 for trucks. They did away with that because it was unsafe. Speed limiters on trucks created the same situation with 3 times as much traffic on the roads now. Highway safety had nothing to do with it. It was all about trying to deflect attention from $1 billion taxpayer dollars squandered to save a Liberal seat in Toronto. There’s been measurable economic damage from it same as e-logs, but they’re not going to let go of either of them. In their mind everyone will vote Democrat if they save them from those scary trucks. Given my experience here I’d be more worried about what they’re trying to distract your attention from than the speed limiter mandate itself.

We'll just poke the hole in your first one. This split in the limit is a whopping 6.2 mph (62 vs 68.2 mph). What is being proposed would find us here with a much greater split. Something to the tune of a 60 mph limiter could be up to 25 mph slower then the speed limit for other vehicles, and THAT is why it won't work. Couple that huge split with more than 10x the amount of drivers in an area only 8% larger than Australia, and it will cause havoc.

No need to quote any Constitutional Amendment to see the lunacy in the plan.
