2000 Cat C12 Horsepower Uprate?

Id get a bigger truck honestly. If you need that much torque you can get something with a 455/1650 out of the box and dont need to pay for all the extra to uprate one. Uprateing an older engine like that that much is a good way to need a rebuild in a hurry.

355/1350 with a 10 speed is going to be an absolute pig.

 

I don't know about the RV tune. RV's usually only run a couple thousand miles a year at most and rarely ever work too hard. Asking that engine to run at that power level all day, every day at max weight is going to be harder on it for sure.

 

Seen RV and Fire files in truck engines. Didn’t work real well. I kind of suspect those files may be optimized for torque converters. Might work if you had an Allison, but it would probably process some fuel if your toes were in the rad fins all day. Getting a pony to do a horses chore you always pay in the feed.

 

RV file is lower torque, 1550. Get the 430/1650.
