Well, they are setting the ground work for an excellent database in a few years.
Compare their intersection accident rates with another town that doesn't have any roundabouts.

Don't be afraid to put the tandems entirely in the nice landscaping they have provided. That is what it is there for....

I usually don't have any issues using a roundabout. But, I am purposely a jerk and hog the whole thing up while transversing one. I'd rather be thought a jerk than have to deal with a wreck because some 4 wheeler had no clue that trucks make wide turns.
I forget where I was, but had a cop watching the traffic circle not long ago and had no issue with me hogging the whole thing up as I went through it.

Thats because a semi in the roundabout is supposed to take the whole thing, thats why the aprons are designed the way they are, been through plenty with overlength loads, they vary in quality and design though

To op, i disagree, i prefer roundabouts over umpteen stop signs, and for turns, theyre way nicer in the semi

Caveat, carmel isnt truck friendly, but its because thats the rich area of indy, not because of roundabouts

you don’t have a 53’trailer, 18” kingpin and tandem fixed to the rear with 4” inches of ground clearance.

    .
I don’t feel safe while stopped in traffic to raise my trailer so I can get around.

I'm from Indiana. Its a state law that vehicles are supposed to yield to Semi Trucks in roundabouts. Lots of them have signs up to.

Don't be afraid to take the whole roundabout..
We have one in front of the GM plant I deliver to and everyone straddles the lanes going into it. It's safer that way. Otherwise you get crushed cars.
