Less the 4" clearance i navigated quite a few of them fine at a 285" wb tractor pulling a stretch with a 3-4 setting of close to 65 feet..

The curb and apron design matters obviously, but if a 4" in 8' offset is too much for you... i dont know what to tell you

Wasted Thyme, Coffey and alds Thank this.

Well at least they are when people know how they work and use their signals. They’re worse than a 4 way stop anymore. If you ever want an idea of how little people know about driving, sit by a 4way stop for an hour and watch. Traffic circles just confuse them even more.

That’s 16 wide. Kansas routes you through circles with high curbs.
Took this thru one in Colorado. Caused a good traffic jam.

It will not be a problem for me,
in my post I did not mention any outcome of the studies, or what my personal preference was.
Since I am licensed and live in Indiana, I was aware of the law that @JonJon78 posted, hence my statement of how to negotiate them here

I am a native of NJ and also know that there they have been removing "traffic circles" dating from the 1930's, which is precisely the same engineering design because the studies there were done, and at a certain traffic density and beyond, they are less safe and efficient.

With this huge number of roundabouts, it’s likely to increase impatient 4-wheeler jerk frustration.

They are always trying to pass me when I go around one of those things.

    austinmike and Coffey Thank this.
