Do you put a job that lasted 2 months on your resume if you were terminated?

I wouldn’t. If it was a non DOT reportable incident and no official report of it exists other than the employers word then why bother. Nothing would be on your PSP or HireRight so any subsequent future employer wouldn’t know. You’d just be shooting yourself in the foot using that company as a reference after only working there 2 months then getting fired. Just leave that off

 

Hate to inform you, but hard work in this business just doesn't cut it. Nobody looks at how hard a person works, they look at your driving record, your credit report and your "rap sheet" . I for one, cannot understand why you even took a job delivering soda water, all you were, was a "stock boy" for the stores that you delivered to. Truck driving came in way down the list. You ever see "older people" doing this type of work??

 

Anyone telling you not to report it is living in the 80's.
Here is what will happen if you don't report it.

Company conditionally hires you. You go in to orientation. You get sent for a physical and urine test..
All come back good.
They then give your name to their insurance company. Insurance company comes back with the wreck.
You are now not hired, and because the first thing you did in orientation is sign tons of paperwork, one of them says you have to pay for the physical and drug test if you leave before 90 days.

(Ok, the paying for on boarding might not happen, but the insurance lookup will)

Call one of the Mega’s. One of them will hire you. Get their training under your belt, then move on.
Anything is better then humping cases of soda off a trailer into a store then having to deal with a 25 year old store manager.

 

Humping Cases of product, yeah I gave that a go about 3 different times at a Papa Johns D.C. in Goldsboro, NC. Night AND Day Deliveries. 450+ Pound Dolly. 23+ Hours ON DUTY, start to finish.
I was in me latter 50's for the above for a LOT of RIDING, NOT much DRIVING, yet Start to Finish ON-DUTY in my Comic Book.

2 months "driving" and had a accident, well, good luck, yet there should be a company to give you a start over.
WE Could NOT/Can NOT Hide From DAC/Hireright, especially if one is Haz-Mat Endorsed.

In our case, we will find it... How much you wanna bet that a beverage company reported the termination to HireRight? You would show a couple of months unemployed after getting your CDL, they would run that DAC out of habit, and VOILA! Liar liar pants on fire! In the remote case they didn't report it, you would be hired, only to be routed back to the terminal within a few days and unceremoniously terminated, yet again, only this time for falsifying the application *and* the crash. Another possibility is that it will show as a level 3 on your PSP with the at-fault accident... but that would only be if it was a recordable (towaway or worse).

Whether you list it or not, you have to meet the company's underwriting policies. Not listing it, however, means there is a chance that you would have gotten an offer with it listed, but now you falsified the application as well. Lying by omission is the same as saying you worked for a company with no record of your existence.

Unless there is a gravel outfit nearby looking to hire a side or end dump operator, you're probably not going to get another local job for a while. Suck it up, call the megas, and one of them will hire you. Probably a second-chance place like Western Express. Stick it out to get 2 years between the current date and your wreck, and you'll be good to go, provided you didn't hit anything else along the way.

 

Out of curiosity, if this happened on private property, no police report will be made, so my question, will it show up on his PSP? I highly doubt it.
