I totally get it but there is always some reason why it’s this or it’s that. In the mean time we have to find good and qualified folks or the wheel doesn’t go round. Whether it’s Covid, or it’s the economy is great, or the economy is going down, etc etc it’s always something.

Btw, if I was in charge of running a multi billion dollar company, you better believe I better be making at least 10m per year. If not, F that! That’s a bargain if it’s the right person leading the charge. IMO

I've had 7 inquires and I think I have the seat filled but we all know until they are under a load it's never filled. But sort of getting back on thread topic, from the trash I saw posted on the board today if the seat goes unfilled longer that's fine. I don't see how much longer some of these companies can survive. I thought the market would turn in early Q4 but I don't think that's going to be the case.
I talked to my Rush salesman and he said Corporate has put the lid on buying used equipment so I'd assume the auction and repo business is about ready to pick-up (if it hasn't already). He did say they are predicting equipment prices to stabalize or even increase in 3 to 4 months once Peterbilt announces their production schedule for next year. He said they don't plan on increasing output for next year (not sure if thats a demand driven or part shortage decision). I'd assume with next year being the last one for the 389 the built slots will go pretty quickly.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
The 389 was dead once they put the digital dash in it.. Im not sure whats wrong with the classic analog gauges. They work just fine from the beginning of time.. Everything has to have a computer in it now i guess

The spot market is really struggling. I am at home now, looking for a load for myself and its complete crap out there. Whats funny, DAT shows that Michigan is busy, other states are even worse.

Okay, but what are we doing wrong? If we have twenty or thirty drivers making from 90 to 120 grand a year shouldn't guys like us be making at least five million? I looked...I don't make that much. Not even close. There's a huge wage disparity here. I'd file a grievance but the guy who signs the checks might decide to cut me off.
