So I hit a box truck a few months ago, caught his lift gate, my hood and grill was pushed back. No airbags and no injuries. No damage to the box truck. Yet we had to do a police report, it was a company vehicle (non-commercial). I didn’t get fired I was just asked to do training. I still work with the current job.
SWIFT ran my MVR, and it popped up. Should I be concerned about getting hired from them?
They said they have to review the police report. It was my 1st accident on 5+ years.

Was the accident “Avoidable” ?
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
It was a rear end so I guess you can say it was avoidable

I wouldn't and Swift isn't your only option if it is a problem

If CRST will hire you, then go for it. It's only temporary. After you complete the contract, you'll have 2 or 3 dozen companies to choose from.

Home - Bellavance Trucking
A driver posted that if Bellavance accepts you for their cdl school, you stay in a truck during school, vs a motel. When you graduate, the truck you've been staying in is your assigned truck. One person told me that and he's been pretty straightforward. To me, that would be a good incentive to pass the school and get used to OTR trucking.
Boondock, Another Canadian driver and Opus Thank this.
