@SevynsUp --
When I finished orientation with my current employer (a fuel hauler)--I was then out with a trainer for 5 WEEKS.
In my opinion (and this is just an opinion)--if you have NO PREVIOUS TANKER EXPERIENCE (and of course, they should know that by now)--then you should definitely be going out with a trainer, for at least half of what I got (if not more).
If that's not the case--then you need to reevaluate where you are.
Again--let us know how it goes....

Yes me and just everyone I talked to believes that training should be way longer. It’s clear that it is a sink or swim type of company. Prolly why a good portion of orientation was them showing up pictures of other drivers flipping their rig.
Anyways they flew me to a terminal to pick up my truck. I immediately spotted oil leak, low tire pressure, broken mirror and truck needs alignment.
Long story short communication sucks. Bobtailed 800 miles back to my terminal. Was under my first load. Got 10 miles from the yard and truck starts leaking again (badly), so I’m currently broke down but atleast I made it back to the yard.
Really tryna give them a chance BUT patience is wearing a tad thin. -
On the plus side, the other drivers are really helpful. Learned more from them then the guy that trained me for all of two days. I will say that money can be made here for sure. Just everything else sucks right now.

Hope all is going well with you!
