Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Shippers are getting upset too. One location shut down for two months now. (I can't say which one.)

Another shipper complains about their picks being cancelled in the last minute. It's even worse than it was last month.
Some shippers will close operations.
Ones trying not to collapse, negotiate their rates.

Sure is. Every time I begin to get comfortable quoting rates this nonsense starts up again.

Hiding out in my cave. Although they may be trying to outsmart us dumb drivers and go full bore next week in a "surprise" inspection

 

They can do it anytime. No reason to hide.

 

Yep. Went up about 25-35 cents everywhere I’ve seen.

 

The truckstops went up.

The locals actually dropped a dime.

 

That settles it. I don’t want to hear any excuses from Brokers. If they aren’t willing to pay a decent rate, I’m not hauling it. It’s that simple. Rates for Shippers haven’t dropped, and fuel surcharges are in place on everything. Mega’s aren’t cutting the rates, and Brokers aren’t hurting. If anything they’re making a higher % with fuel being high. It won’t be long, this crap can’t last, it’s just about played out.
