It really does come in handy. Some of the places I would have drug the pavement in the past I clear with no issues now. One tow bill more than paid for it.

Congratulations Blair, you did Good. You come a long way since those first loads of boats. The key is the planning and the rate should reflect it, plus all the lost sleep.
I know where there is a big piece going to Staten Island, want the number?
Seriously I’m proud of what you’ve accomplished, door slammer to real trucker.

Right or wrong you always come across as Dad or Grandpa that no matter how good you do, or how much you achieve, it’s still not quite enough. Giving these props to Blair is well earned and really great to see. He certainly deserves it.

I’ve known Blair since he made the decision to join LS.
Not many would do the load he just finished. Until you do it you don’t understand how difficult it is getting everything together, let alone loadings and moving the load.
Remember he was dealing with state employees, I’ve had troopers show up with no experience and have to explain how to do their job.

Rand McNally road atlas. It’s a 2010 version, so I was unsure if they had moved it, or renamed it in the last 12 years.

Luckily it was still in the state of Iowa.

There’s actually paved roads that lead to it - and some signage.

I’ll be honest, I was following 2 police and an escort going in, so I kinda just trusted in them.

    :)

Sir - I appreciate it. I'll have to hand this to you - right from the start.

I always respected your time and advice, and was always mindful of not tying up 3 questions into a long drawn out conversation. You've got schist to do like we all do.

You've always answered the phone and given sage advice.

And until now - you've NEVER given me a break or an atta boy.

Thank you @Old Man - I truly appreciate it.

You're observant and nailed it. Now - what he would have said had I screwed up and taken out some roadway fixtures or the equipment is anyones guess!

:) You got to it before I did.

My favorite (almost daily ) joke -

"So (realizing I'm from NZ) - how did you get here?

Me - "Oh - they have these planes that pretty much fly in 6-7 days of the week"

    Or -

"Here? - How did I get Hair? Just started growing when I was a few months old . . . "

Glad the move went well. From the time you booked load till the time it was off your deck, did you meet or exceed your daily minimum revenue per day? Don't need number. just yes or no. Would you do another one?
