A long time ago when I worked for
Back in the Dark Ages, 2012, when I worked for Heartland Express, I lived in Kerrville Texas. Every Friday afternoon I would drop an empty trailer on that yard and bobtail home. Every Monday morning I would pick up a loaded trailer from there and take off for the week. Texas only fleet. Zero complaints.

Back in the day I had a cabover coventional, pulling a flatbed reefer hauling swinging shrimp from New Orleans to Chicago every week.

There are quite a few loads I have pulled out of Charleston, Savannah, Sumter, Columbia, Anderson, and Clemson. Ranged from imported parts in Charleston and Savannah. Medical supplies out of Sumter. And paper products from Columbia, Anderson, and Clemson. I think everything except the medical stuff was brokered freight. The med stuff was all picked up at the same customer I dropped at, sometimes a different location, but same company.

Okay, thanks. I know we’ve got a few guys live in Sumter so I figured there must be something there.

Since coming outta the house last Wednesday, had a brokered load from Selma NC to Boone IA, then a dog food load from Fort Dodge (46k) to Li ncoln NE, then pickup at our Fremont headquarters to Four Oaks NC. Picked up Sumter this morning going to Holdrege NE due Friday. Currently started a 34 in Newport TN across from the Loves. Its crazy trying to park at Loves in the five o clock hour.

I have preferred running nights ever since I started in 2002. That is paying off now, with the parking situation. I RARELY have any problems, unless some appointment has me off my usual routine.
