Don’t let these individuals scare you away from this great state “Commiefornia”, long as you obey the laws, you’ll be fine. But if you get caught doing what your not supposed to do, “they love outsiders”, they’ll have a field day with ya if you get the right CHP(trooper). They want your money, and they know you won’t come back to fight it. Best thing to do is keep your eyes open and ear in the CB radio, you’ll be fine.

    Try the tacos.

Bring a camera. There is a lot of weird and stupid in California. It's glorious when the two combine. You'll want the photos/film to show the folks back home who don't believe you. This mostly applies to Southern California.

Go Animal Style if you visit a In N Out.

People in California like to put avocados on everything. Almost like it's a law.

If you commit a crime short of mass murder, and even then, you still might get released with no bail, or even have the charges dropped! ;) *(this only applies to L.A. I think)

Yea, not really laws, but, those other guys covered all that.

California has more Karens per capita than any other state in the country.

They just banned the same of gasoline powered vehicles starting in 2035 , and three days later , asked people to not charge their electric cars since the power grid is about to melt from high use .

so if you’re expecting logic or sane , California is neither of those .

And it’s not just the government, the voters keep Electing , over and over , the genius folks that make these laws .

Just to clarify part of this. The “S” signs designate service access and the “T” signs designate terminal access. They have nothing to do with trailer type or combination.

Just the sale of NEW gasoline engine cars, you'll still be able to buy from 3rd party or buy from another state. The question is how long until they stop registering gasoline engine cars, since the DMV has already partnered with CARB and stopped registering class 8 trucks and buses with engines 2009 and older. It's gonna be very interesting to see how the electric grid handles the overload once they transition from diesel engines to "zero-emissions" electric trucks by 2040/2045 (I keep forgetting which year date it is).

The grid will not handle it. It can’t handle it now. All of this green nonsense is just window dressing, that is getting a few very wealthy, on the backs of the middle and lower class. Basically, we are in that phase of the musicians still playing music on the deck of the titanic as it sinks, and the captain telling us that nothing is wrong…

So if they they nail him down with that 53 ft trailer with non-ca legal spread, what is the course of things after? He has to look for reload and recovery of the load from the weigh station or they let him go with a citation?

For example in CT it’s a citation + they let you turn around and go back to the state you entered from. In FL it’s a citation and they force you to buy a permit and let you continue into the state.

I have a feeling in CA as wise as they are it may be neither of those two…

I got a KPRA ticket at Truckee. They made me go through the bug check and turn around and head back to NV. I got s copy of the ticket in the mail about a month later and had to pay a $137 fine.

The guys I know who got caught heading east were allowed to continue and told not to bring the trailer back.

They go in streaks out there. I ran out there weekly for about two years. I had been inspected at Truckee a couple times and they didn’t say anything. One day I was told to park and before I was out of the truck they were outside with a tape measure.
