35 drivers were on his board. Fm said most of his drivers were like him. You have no idea what we work with.

Seems a lot of people who wouldn't make it in other fields due to actual work hours became truckers.

They live full time in the truck and rather than work hard to make the most of their time, they due the least amount of work to not get fired.

Lot of the big carriers just want someone in the truck no matter what cause a truck moving just 1700 miles a week still makes the company some money than of the truck sat for the whole week.

I'm wondering how many of these 300-400mile a day drivers lost their job due to covid then turned to trucking to make ends meet.

JoeyJunk and Bumper Thank this.

Also, this goes for any trucking company, but if they have drivers out on the road, they should have a full staff in the office. Same requirements as drivers for holidays, weekends etc.
Retirement is just a permanent vacation.
I work with a dude who is 70 and who has saved nothing for retirement. He has 20 years left to pay on his 30 year mortgage and can never retire. He doesn’t let his wife work and didn’t get his CDL until he was 57. Don’t be that dude.

That is correct. A few of those paychecks reflect that.

Here are the hoops. There's 3 watch the safety vid. Scan all your paperwork 10 hours after receiving it either with trans flow app or in truck scanner provided by marten. You have to work 5 days in a 7 day week home time not exceeding 48 hours. I go home for 3 to 5 days. If things are good were you are. I'd stay there.

JoeyJunk and newbietrucker91 Thank this.
