It's getting kinda creepy that guys who are pulling reefer are making the same money as guys doing heavy haul or car hauling

I have a few buddies who work for Marten. They’re a good company for a big company that’s pretty much almost considered a mega. A lot of drivers stay with them for years. That said, most of them are making like the rest of us between $60,000 and $75,000 a year. I mean anybody can string together two or three big paychecks. We all get them from time to time. It’s year in and year out what you’re making is what matters at the end of the day. Not a couple of big fat paychecks. The driver I know over there, has been with them for about 12 years, after taxes he typically takes home about the same as me. Between $1200 and $1400 a week. However he gets a lot better benefits than I get. But the counter to that, I don’t get micromanaged like he does. Lol dispatchers calling him right at the end of a 10 hour break asking him why he hasn’t moving yet. I’ve never had that happen once.

I'll share a funny story... I'm a Shaffer driver and a crete or our dry van side driver quite and rolled into our terminal yard in Kansas City with a marten tractor trailer, dropped the marten trailer in a designated spot and bobtailed his marten tractor to the mechanics bay where all of his old tractors stuff was to load into the marten tractor... balls! I thought my company was pretty weak for allowing this bit I guess they hope he'll eventually come back there

That marten trailer was is in our terminal yard!

Good stuff! Lol He’s lucky they didn’t haul that trailer off though. How long was the trailer sitting there like that?

Maybe 6 hours while driver was loading his personal stuff into the new marten tractor I think it was big balls found it funny and insulting but laughed and said to myself and fellow drivers here what a wimp company I work for... id allow a driver to grab his things no questions but in an unmarked vehicle not advertising a competitor to drivers there's always drivers doing 10s and 34s right there and that Martin big balls boss is in their face probably got some drivers wondering whats marten got going on! I know now cause of believe that situation crete is looking into offering that adverse weather related shutdown pay marten offers bit I know you'd have to fight for it here... no more than half a day I'd say I had to roll out that day

That video had 12 back to back paychecks. I figured that was sufficient.

Also we get compensated for full day. Weather shut down. No fighting at all. They send us news letters every year millions paid out to compensation.

Because they’re not. This guy is a recruiter. He has no prior history on this site
