You're taking your problem and making it everyone else's. If I can't get around something in front of me and nobody lets me over, I have to stop until I can get over. You're expecting people who don't deal with this to be able to see and understand what's going on and take an appropriate action, which is not realistic. If it happens often enough that you think it's an issue, then do something about it. Plenty of other drivers haul oversize and don't seem to be killing people left and right.
I wouldn't speed up to block you in. If I see a hazard, I'll leave room. If I don't see it, and you signal early enough, I will make room. But I also don't think you're any more important than other drivers on the road. If you don't want to take the risks associated with hauling oversize, then take a pay cut and stop doing it.

But with that said there are many many 4wheelers who will attempt to speed up and beat me into the left lane so they are not behind a big truck, there are also truck drivers who will not move an inch when I’m beside them, likely because they feel the need to show me I’m no more important than them. Now I haven’t killed anyone yet and I’m not frustrated enough to change my business model and go buy vans, tankers, reefers or any other type of legal dimension trailer so I won’t have to do heavy haul loads.
I was clearly stating how disrespectful MOST 4 wheelers are on the highway and make OUR daily lives a pain in the ### sometimes. But before you spout off about something you know nothing about, read up on OS/OW laws before you make a sly comment about escorts.Another Canadian driver and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -

As usual, the extensive 14 word article on the website of a local TV station does not give anyone here anything like enough information to draw any conclusions. Even the article itself says the accident is still under investigation.
I do concur with the OP, there will be attorneys involved.
there is some question about the outcome of those lawsuits, settlements, or results of any trial that may take place.
Wake me up in about 4 years when everything has been settled. -
What I am taking away from all of this is never to receive an experimental vaccine while broke down or otherwise parked on the shoulder.
Also, you may or may not be required to have pilot vehicles present as you wantonly smash half of certain road signs placed too closely to the driving lane whilst frightening the motoring public.
p.s. Accident attorneys are not popular here on TTR. Nope. No. -
Amazing how all these "breakdowns" are 20 to 1 overnight along roadway shoulders.
Crazy coincidences- honest officer!
