Saw an ad posted today by R&L looking for class B drivers in jersey. Starting pay at $30.94. anybody have any info on them? I thought I could remember one of their drivers telling me a while back that they pay no OT. It's all straight time. What's their start times range? 6-10am I'm guessing?

That’s not bad for a straight truck job.
That range is about right for start times but expect to be towards the later end of that range.Waterman_99 Thanks this. -
Seeing as how no one else chimed in I’ll put my2 cents in. As far as I know R&L pays no OT anywhere but the Coasts can be funny sometimes so I can’t say 100%. A gig like that on that type of equipment is going to be ALOT of residential stuff. You will learn your way around a pallet Jack and a two wheeler if you don’t already. You will have to purchase both of those for yourself. A 100$ lightweight hand truck from lowes or Home Depot is not going to hold up long. R&L is not a bad company. Your experience at a particular terminal will have a lot to do with the management at that particular terminal. I was 10 years with them in Norwalk Ohio and it has its ups and downs
Start times would be 0800-1100 depending. If it’s a bid route that means you would be in generally the same area most of the time. A floater position means you would bounce all over that terminal’s service area. They bid routes not start times so they can adjust your start time depending on freight levels. The bids are lifetime for class A, not sure about class B. The straight trucks are generally peterbilt or international auto shifts and they have been updating them over the past several years, some of the older ones were ratted out Penske rentals.Waterman_99 and Opus Thank this. -
