I'm currently in San Fernando CA.
I've been CDL A driver 30 plus years with all endorsements TPX.
    CLEAN very clean driving record
Need to be home by 5-6am daily to get grandchildren to school. So working nights would be ideal.
My daughter died and I need to change jobs.
At age 53 I really need full medical coverage insurance.
Currently a Teamster for 30 years but I am in motion picture industry. The hours won't work for me & helping my grandchildren. I'd love to find union job but the pay hrs and medical insurance is most important.
    Minimum $1800 week after taxes.
Any input would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter

That teamsters job is going to be brutally tough to replace. Very few of us make the kind of money you folks get. Even being an owner op in a good economy doesnt do as well as some of you guys.
I would try every possible option to keep that job if I was you

If I were you I would call your Business Agent and see what he can find. If you have to change jobs he can speak with the Freight Agents to see if anything would work. Dock jobs are the only freight jobs I know of that you may work nights and be off consistently every morning. Maybe fuel hauling, but I don’t know if they are Teamsters in your area.

Sincere condolences on the loss of your daughter, may she rest in peace, may God be with her for all eternity.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

    Possible Night Time Job Suggestions:
    1)
night time delivery jobs for Coca-Cola, Pepsi, 7-UP, or some other beverage company
    2) night time dock work for any warehouse, trucking company, or distribution company
    3) night time janitorial work for maintenance companies that clean offices & industrial sites
    4) night time shift work at any manufacturing plant - Pepsi Bottling Company being one good example
    5) night time bus driver's job at the local city transit terminal
    6) night time management position at a major hotel chain in your area
    7) night time trash collector's truck driving job emptying dumpsters around the area

    NOTE:
    1)
Some of these suggestions will pay better than others. Although, you should be able to get home by 6:00 A.M. to get your grandchildren to school.
    2) Taking home $1,800 a week after taxes is a tall order to fill. A lot of top management jobs don't pay that kind of money. As for health insurance, that can also be a toss of the dice.

Good luck to you! God bless you and your entire family!
