All it says is “civil penalty”, and the inspector said it was a monetary fine.

Thank you. Did the ticket come in the mail? These fines seem really reasonable is why I’m so skeptical lol

16 years of taking that route I've never seen any DOT hiding out. You'll pass right by that big casino Kansas Star in Mulvane if you need a place to park, they have a massive dirt lot out back for trucks.

I appreciate it. This little run from Dallas to Kansas City and back is nice if I can run the big road and still bypass the scales. I can run up 69 but that road is rougher than hobo ####.

Yeah, to the OP, you almost certainly now have PSP points if you didn't have any before this violation. The points for this violation will drop off your PSP in 3 years. IIRC, the PSP points for a violation are tripled for the first 12 months, doubles for the next 12 months, and at face value for the next 12 months. 3 years from the date of the violation those points don't add to your PSP total. Officers these days like to issue "warning tickets" that carry no fine. If that "warning ticket" is issued on an FMCSA Inspection Report, then whatever was noted on that IR will add PSP points to your record, which have 3,1,2 impact over the next 3,2,1 years. As much as possible you don't want to cross a weigh station with any defects. Ask me how I know all of this? :(

I used to pull through them with confidence but now it’s like I’m a #### bullseye. Definitely going to avoid scales now for a while. I honestly feel like aslong as I can avoid the scales that have a pit I’ll be fine lol. Level 2’s rarely get me any violations, but as well alllll know you can always find something wrong with a truck especially if you can stand comfortably under it

They’ll sit by the on ramp onto 35. But you can see them. If they’re sitting there just keep on going straight on 177 and run it down to Blackwell before you cut back to the big road.

All the time I’ve gone around that way hauling grain and cattle I’ve only seen them mess with trucks that turned and went up the ramp when they’re parked there. I haven’t seen them go after anyone that kept going straight like you know where you’re going. Lol

I’d try and not get too worked up about it. Just always put your best foot forward and the rest will fall into place. You can only do all you can do.
