I borrowed 5 grand without asking first.

 

Trust me TB the arse chewing I got was phenomenal lol.

 

He called me some rather insulting words that can't be mentioned here and his face turned very red , it lasted maybe 5 minutes or so and he regained his composure and calmed down we were both laughing when I left his office ...sometimes now if I know his mood is good I'll ask him if I can bum 5k off him .

 

Brad Morehouse made killer steaks today for all Morehouse employees, from greater omaha lol.
I also got to have the quarterly chat with him that I try to have today .... my take away on rates and equipment pricing is that the equipment prices are softening some .
Plan is still to trade trucks at 24 months but that could change if the market changes
The freightliners consistently outdo the kenworths on cost per mile and resale about the same .
Parts prices are thru the roof which I already knew .
Rates are holding steady with only one customer hinting at a rate decrease.
But he also said contract carriers arnt likely to give much if any ground due to high equipment prices , higher driver wages and overall higher costs of operation.
There ya have it .

 

Had my drive axle brakes rebuilt this week .
Parts pricing mostly normal until ya get to drums which are hard to even find .. 285.00 a piece for drums at Jim hawk , 320 at freightliner and they were the only ones in town that even had them .
