I understand i first started with this company in March 2017 very well respected company i was proud to work there. Respected by our peers shippers receivers other trucking companies but nowadays there an embarrassing company to work for, yes it's a rant. Yall know what I'm saying

I had a camera installed in my truck 2 months ago. Company claimed they would save a ton on insurance. 43 years and 4.4 million miles and they still treat you like a mirror fogger they hire off the street. I have a hat over the camera and they can kiss my ###.

Good for you on standing your ground. I’m sorry this happened to you but I think if your reaction was the reaction of others these things would go away.
Well… I wasn’t there as long as you have been so I can’t comment on how it once was, but let’s just say i haven’t looked back since my exit. I have had my fair share of trucking jobs in my 16 years of cdl holdage, and that was one of my bigger sighs of relief seeing that lot in the rear view mirror my last day.

Beside the camera, what makes this company "embarrassing" to drive for?

Obviously the camera is meant as punishment not safety, I can’t see how the camera would help you prevent a future u-turn. It’s all about liability, and putting as much responsibility on the driver in case of a suit. Good luck, you should have a job within hours….

I got one more month to serve on my probation. I was angry at first, filled out an application with a former company, but they wouldn't take me back and (with my crash in Jan of '21) so I figured I was just better off staying here at FCC learn from my mistake and deal with the inward facing camera. They trusted me with a new truck and one with much better sightlines so rather happy with the way it has worked out. I never was really against an inward facing camera if it was used in a manner for coaching. God knows, I am not a natural born truck driver so I will take any constructive coaching I can get.

You are correct. I let the so called stirring wheel holder thing get me, I new better but I did anyway. Speaking of coaching I noticed they have a driver simulator trailer parked inside the shop.

Yikes, I get motion sickness in those things. Last time I was in one, I had to jump out of the seat and staggered to the bathroom. Can't stand those friggin things! Almost puked in front of the safety lady.
