    Is the eldt requirement just for first time hazmat holders? I had my hazmat in California but when I moved to Colorado they took it off cause they needed a background submitted to the dmv so I ended up just letting it go. I’m wondering if I will need to do the eldt and the info I found isn’t super clear.

    You will probably need it. The ELDT courses can be found online. The can be done quickly and someone here on TTR said recently that the cost was around $25.00 for the Haz course.

    I seem to remember that ELDT applied for first issuance after Feb 7, 2022. A current or past CDL holder, and I think past HM holder was not required to get ELDT. Search the FAQs and "Guidance" on FMCSA.gov
