Not many public scales in Florida, few and far between.

There are more scales out there than CAT scales.
Every landfill, every recycle center, every place that sells or buys something by the ton all have certified scales.

Out here in populated counties on east coast of Florida not so many, in this county only 2 that will weigh outside trucks. Landfills are run by government, no public weighing.

I used to live in Florida and I was born and raised on the East coast. No excuses for being overweight.

Sorry I didn't realize I had committed such a violation I mean less than 1500 lbs and a $72.00 ticket. I now realize I should have drove back and off loaded the sod and scraped that load that was valued at $4900 makes total since.
I wonder what the sanitation guys do with all there overweight tickets?

At $0.05 a pound, I would of put the two extra pallets on and dodged/dusted the scales, Legal for a fee is all a productivity award is

Have hauled it many times, if there is no way to scale it, i just guesstimate 3k lbs a skid. Better to be 1500 lbs under, than over.
Throw a skid in the box of a pickup, and that alone will quickly tell you that your estimate was far too low.

    cke and beastr123 Thank this.
