With tire prices going to Joe Biden levels of stupid,
I've redone my maintenance calculations and tires actually make up A measurable amount of maintenance per mile now...

    Wtf

I've dropped my standards on tires at this point. Nobody seems to have Michelins around or if they do I don't want to pay their price.

22.5s I'm guessing? That's what I was quoted for 11r22.5s locally, problem is I have 24.5s all around right now and would like to keep it that way.

That's pretty high. I could have sworn tires should amount to a cost of about $0.11 a mile, more or less. How exactly did you arrive to your calculation?

For 24.5s, Petro in Joplin had a stockpile of Michelin steers..been awhile though.

Just got a rough quote from Loves for a 22.5 Bridgestone trailer tire..$750ish. I laughed and left.

Nothing rare about Caterpillar engines, I have 2 sitting on the floor. I'll just have to dig some decent 22.5 wheels out I guess.

Lucky mine is at .11CPM but i am also a rock truck so i average replaceing at least one a month to damage. Nothing says joy like finding this on a tire with less then 1500 miles on it after unloading.

If it aint a screw its a hammer, or crowbar or chunk of copper wire or whatever. And i only buy cheap tires save my very back axle and my very front one for obvious reasons.
