Hoping by the end of tomorrow the track moves more West. About all latest news videos saying the latest data cause all the tracks to move back East by a bit. One saying center of storm predicted to hit Tampa Bay by Thursday.

I have never sat 2 days in all of my time here, but every time I'm even in Northern Florida it's usually a long deadhead. The one time I got to Southern Florida with a dry box, I deadheaded to either Jacksonville or Tampa, can't remember which. I don't like getting to Florida, usually a long run to get me there, but sucks getting out. I don't mind the deadhead, it all pays the same.

Current models as of Monday 11am has confirmed a landfall around the tampa area and the county the customer is in is now in a tropical storm watch. Will probably find out tomorrow where they want me to do with this load, unless the customer still plans on unloading before the core of the storm reaches inland.

I can't imagine they will be unloading. Parts of the city are under mandatory or recommended evacuation orders. I would not be heading into Tampa although doing so should have some empty roads. The other direction will be jam packed.

Hurricane Ian forms into powerful storm, prompting evacuation order in Tampa

Actual delivery location is in Winter Haven. As of now I'm to just sit outside Florida till storm passes and then deliver unless they give me a drop location.

Kinda surprised they're having you sit, not tcall in Marietta. Don't think it's supposed to make landfall until Wednesday night, then track northeast to Jacksonville. Then if power goes out...
