Okay I have a 07 Columbia with a c15 in it truck rides fine but my issue is I loose prime sometimes over night or sometimes in a couple of days, and I keep having to fill up the fuel water separator to get it primed but once it’s primed it runs like normal, I’ve change the filters, that ball check valve that’s in the separator housing and the check valve that’s next to the spin-off fuel filter but I still keep losing prime, could this be my fuel pump ?
Prime issue

and sometimes when I am riding in the hwy I feel it jerking or skipping some

It is sucking air somewhere in the fuel system. You have to pressure test the system so you can pin point where the leak is.

I have a diesel fuel transfer pump from Harbor Freight. Cost me under $60 when I purchased 10 years ago. Probably double the price now. I have adaptor fittings from Ace Hardware for all the lines in the fuel system to pressure test. A shop is going to to charge you more for 1hr than the cost of buying these and checking yourself. And they probably will charge you for more time to pressure test. I got charged for 2 hrs back in 2011, which prompted me to purchase this setup.
