How can I establish a flatbed/car hauling company during my offseason?

    doing trucking partially in a year won’t work. Expensive to maintain insurance, dot/mc, cdl, so on so forth. Not sure what’s needed for a 1 car trailer, but I do know it’s going to need commercial insurance and that is where it gets expensive if you only driver 3-6 months a year.

    usually need a sander and wing for that, unless he goes to the town

    Insurance is way too high to due it part time.
    Check into insurance for what your looking to do.

    As someone that also lives where he does..
    All the governments around here use their own equipment. The towns tend to do their own, while Genesee county road commission does the townships and arterial roads.
    That said, every landscape company puts a plow on in the winter time for parking lots and the like.
