W900 n14 cummins 13spd
So we've been chasing this problem for a few months now.
The truck rolls down the road alright but will just randomly cut in and out. I took a video (for sound) that will show kind of what's going on.
We have recently replaced the main engine wiring harness, new fuel pump and fuel cutoff solenoid ( even though my truck doesn't use the solenoid to shutoff).
But the truck still cuts in and out. Has a hard time pulling hills even when empty.
We're possibly leaning towards the throttle pedal but im just not sure. Anything else could look at to figure this out?
Links below are of the exhaust where you can hear the cutting in and out.

What does your truck use if not using the fuel solenoid?
-
Are you able to replicate the issue while not driving the truck?
-
I can sit and revv it up with no cut outs though -
I can take the wire off that solenoid and remove the guts out of it and the truck still shuts off -
Those scan guages are kinda handy for things like diagnosing dash readings and sensors - there’s a TPS reading on them that would verify the throttle position sensor while rolling.
Opendeckin, Oxbow, spsauerland and 1 other person Thank this. -

Well we figured out the issue and it isn't one that I would have ever thought about it.
Turns out the coolant level sensor had a wire exposed and was grounding out from touching one of the AC lines. Hasn't missed once in over a week now.Bean Jr., Opendeckin, lester and 2 others Thank this.
