Get a laser printer. They'll work even if you only print one page every six months.

    Brother pocketjet printer.
No ink. It's the type of printer police use in their cars.

My old HP worked fine in the truck until i broke it. Had 3 new hp and none of them have been good. Same ink leaks you mentioned.

I've had the same HP LaserJet in my truck for over 12 years. I'd say it can take whatever is dished out.

I quit carrying a printer in my truck years ago. Printer ink is crazy expensive even if you get it cheap from somewhere like LD products.

There's a pdf editor app you can load on your phone for free to sign any documents with called Adobe fill & sign.

There's another free app called tiny scanner you can take a pic of any doc and it converts it to pdf.

There you go. Say bye bye to a printer and the ink.

The rare times I have needed a printer it was never anything that couldn't wait until I got home again to print it off.

Printers take a beating in a truck. The rough ride takes its toll on the components.

Wait until you need to print 40 pages of oversize permits at 2-3.50 a page.
My printer saves me a ton of cash
