Poor Merge Results In An Accident

Someone that old shouldn't be driving. Probably merged into 70mph traffic going 30mph without even looking.

 

That's debatable. We got truckers out here well into their 70s. I'm not so sure 70 is old anymore...people who are not even a senior citizen merge without looking. It's got to a point where I drive with anticipation.

 

We need to give the driver a ticket for “Failure to Maintain control.”

 

Why is it that recently in all these accidents you see the 18 wheeler go off the road and explode into pieces like a plane crash after one little car pushed it? Makes no sense.

 

If somebody pushes into me, my rig will not move.

 

Many drivers have a mentality of I have to right of way and don’t watch the merging traffic.. only reason I can see the semi losing control after a Honda side swiped it is the driver was surprised.. I know what’s going on around me the only surprises I normally get is the extreme speeders switching into empty lanes between mirror checks .. i run the right lane often but will speed up a bit or slow a bit to help ease the merge . No point in blocking it because they are stupid and will go anyways .
