Was pretty busy the week. Had a couple good vias, my run got cancelled tonight and I could of jumped on a better one for the night but I couldn’t resist the option of taking Friday off.

What kind of an idiot puts duct tape on a rusted out landing gear handle like that’s going to do diddly squat?

Here's a question.
I'm the new guy at my terminal, on my 11th week doing linehaul. They've been using me as the "bubble guy." Meaning, the senior drivers get out the door first, which is understandable, then the outside contractors, then I get the last run of the night usually. My question is, is it usual for contract carriers to get sent out the door before company drivers? At my last gig, outside carriers were always lower priority than the company guys, but I have no idea how these contracts work.LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
When I was at con-way, cr england, swift, ad express and the rest of them were loaded before any extra board guys were sent out. Often times we would grab a penske lease truck to pull the swift van for swift when they wouldn't show up 2 hours after their gate time. That was over 10 years and two jobs ago and I'm still bitter about it. I need to learn to let things go lol
