Next, thanks for all the members of WIIS for their kind wishes and good vibes in the wake of my recent firing.

I merely "started" an application for ABF on the day I got fired, before Missus Skillet told me to take the week off.

ABF has been blowing up my email, asking me to come back and finish my app. It's for linehaul.

Dayton Freight needs "System Drivers", which reads like "linehaul until we need you for P&D".

I have a couple wrenching jobs I'm applying to, we'll see.

My old boss at the sugar tanker outfit has assured me I'm welcome back with open arms, and there's some new dedicated work due to start in November. However, the insurance still sucks and the pay ain't that great, either.

We have enough money banked up that I can take October off, and be a little choosy about who I sign on with.

But yeah, I could get used to this "not truck driving" thing, on a, like, permanent basis.

The weather is turning chilly here in Gem City, and I'm diggin' it.
