Suggesting Chicago outfits is not considered helping someone.

Well thought out. I scolded sloth boy gently for not giving me a presentation spiel and forcing me to drag every morsel of info out with tongs. Then I ascertained that there would be openings the minute the trucks arrives. Call me crazy. But it seems as if I would have pursued the candidate and had her complete the application process as far as possible in hopes of securing the candidate for my company when we did have an active need, but what do I know? I'm a knuckle dragging truck driver and I survive on mastodon meat.

I actually was tempted by lane finders. They have a temporary gig right now hauling for fema that pays 3k + a week on a w2. I didn't want to go that route because as far as I can tell, I'm not in trouble with my current job so I'm looking to keep stress minimal.

Tonight's update before I go under: turns out I think Empire Express is alright. Hit every note, and were straight shooters. Offered 60 cents + 5 cents for hazmat endorsement on all miles.. We calculated at 2500 miles that would still be a little over 1600 a week. My minimum is 1500 so they are right where I needed. But then I asked about the midnight to 4am issue I have. after much agonizing, the vp of fleet planning said there was no way to even minimize that. The company is a jit company and they have a couple of accts that require midnight pickup and mad dash to deliver in Florida the next day.

So I thanked them and we parted friends.

I'm fixin' to shake hands on a deal with riverside transport for 60 cents a mile home every 7 to 10 days for 48 and no driver facing cameras.

That's pretty insulting they offered you MAYBE 50 to 52 CPM when you're an experienced driver. Wow.

Yeah.. what they SAY and what they DO maybe NOT the same...

Find some of their drivers and ask THEM how often they get home, how many miles THEY get...
