Anyone having this issue? Normally, a gallon or so of washer fluid will last me a month. I can put 2, 3, 4 or 5 gallons in there and within a couple of days, the "washer fluid low" alert comes on.
I don't see any leaks under the truck after sitting a day or a whole weekend.
Now mind you, I have crawled under there and looked around but, without a doubt, I'm loosing washer fluid. no way I can be using anything remotely close to that amount.
Its got to be a leak low enough to make the alert flash & ding regularly.
And by the way, its not just the alert, it really is low. I can put another 4 or 5 gallons in there.
Yeah, yeah, I know.. crawl under there and look around. Take it to the shop & let them crawl around under there.
I'm just asking if any of you mechanics or drivers have run into this.

Hi
probably a problem with the washer fliud tank: broken or possibly a loose pump supplying the liquid.... -
Another.........
OK, the tank was cracked. They put on a new one probably Oct or Nov.
About 3 weeks ago, dinging again... washer fluid low. Fill it up and a couple of days later.... dinging... washer fluid low.
The only thing I can figure with this is that 4 or 5 gallons of washer fluid in a cheap plastic tank is causing it to crack. New one ordered. This time I am only going to put 2 or 3 gallons in at a time and see what happens.
Again, has anyone else experienced this? 2022 Volvo VNL 760........ -

I had a cracked tank, I assume the summer fluid froze in the winter. Just sealed the crack with a resin and all good now.

yours is a really big tank to hold that much fluid..mine is probably about 1.5 gallons. -
Shop called me today & said the new tank has arrived so, if I have a down day next week it'll go in.Concorde Thanks this. -
Had same problem. Went to Volvo and they said it’s gasket under level sensor. They charged me 200$ and I left. Next day same problem. Came back and replaced fluid tank for 700$. After that my problem solved.
