That sucks. Office politics is the worst. If you can’t stay away, switching might be an option. Just think it through. The grass most times is not greener.

Lol. We had one driver who was a total #######. Swearing, never happy. He went to pick up at a daily customer in our Bible Belt, they threw a bible at him and told him not to come back until he read it. Lmfao!

You're still a young dude, and now you have some good experience. I think you should jump into a Union job with UPS/XPO/Fedex etc etc. YES $19/hr to start is going to suck, Yes you're going to eat #### for a year, but as someone who went to University and Trade school, if I had to do it all over again, I would rather tough out 2 years @$19/hr to be setup, than all the years I spent in school, paying to be there, working #### jobs while trying to make grades, only to get a few years out of all that education, before the economy/government told me I'm worthless and to #### off.

The only 2 times I ever actually got ahead in life, was in Oil and Gas (Zero Education in it, just showed up and ate #### for a year, to get setup) and Trucking. Everything else, all I did was work my ### off to survive and pay for the schooling.

Also remember one other thing, if you have an accident, at work or at home, NO ONE is going to take care of you, unless you're in a Union. This is something I've watched people learn the hard way. As soon as you can't do exactly what a non-union company wants, too bad, you're out. Great example, 20 year guy with Bison, was tired as hell, fighting with wife, hit a bridge in Chicago doing 55. Truck/Reefer ####ED. 20 years, not so much as a bump, never used their benefits, nothing. Not only did they fire him, but they pulled his PR card sponsorship, and he got deported back to the UK. (Never did his citizenship)

    Choose Wisely.

Union is the way to go. I hated my first couple years at MB but it got better every year. I'm 14 years in and I couldn't imagine working anywhere else.

A union doesn't just get you better pay, it gets you better benefits and better work rules.

Not that I disagree with your post in general but I'd bet that many railroad workers would disagree with you right now.

I'm not a big fan of unions but sometimes they are all that keeps a company from mistreating a driver.

Imagine what it would be like without a union.
