How are Brokers NOT to blame?

Beyond any shadow of a doubt, you have no idea of how any of this works.
You don't like brokers?, go get your own direct freight. And then try to ^&&%$ to the shipper about the rate.
Maybe the problem ls with you, not everyone else.

I don’t see how any of this will help people get better rates off the load board. There will still be too many trucks going after too few loads, that doesn’t change simply because they have information at their fingertips stating what the load “should” pay. The rate may start higher but will be driven down until the lowest bidder loads the load and leaves.

 

That must be it. All of us, and there's quite a few, think your idea is a bad one. You, all by yourself, think it's a good one.

No, you just have no idea how most of the freight is given out. Other than the customer that looks for the cheapest truck, usually through a broker, the rest use the middle of the rates and capacity submitted by the carriers. If some go higher they are not even considered, same as those that go too low.
You are under the impression that we are all together when the fact is every carrier is your competition.

 

Since what you're proposing is price fixing, which violates anti-trust legislation, good luck getting anyone with 2 brain cells and a smidgen of business knowledge to go along with you.
