Hey @Dennixx was gonna try to send a pm... Linde/Px-air question - can you explain the 3 year vested pension plan & how are they about terminal transfers - specifically mims,fl to neosho, mo (believe mims isn't praxair but neosho is) but this is within a few years

    LilRedRidingHood and Dennixx Thank this.

Mims is a Linde plant. We just transfered a guy there from here last July. A transfer from Utah just started in Mims recently too. Had a guy go to FL 5 yrs ago and he retired, he went to Lakeland for CO2 work.
The pension plan we lost 15 years ago but was replaced by a specific monetary amount.
Must be you have to be here 3 years to catch 100%
They put in like 10,000 a year for a pension. Not exactly sure of the figure but it is somewhat close since I've accumulated that much on average.
Pretty good stock plan and 401K.

thnx, so as long as your transparent with them, it doesn't seem transferring is difficult unless they're short driver at that particular location - now what about Linde to Praxair (same company but maybe different departments, not sure of structure) that doesn't sound impossible? Talking about Praxair specifically in Neosho, mo (in FL now will be moving to NW AR eventually)

    Dennixx Thanks this.

    They are all Linde now.
I'd imagine there has to be an opening where you want to go.
You can always talk to the plant superintendent once you get onboard about future intentions.
I know they were building a bigger plant in Neosho a couple years ago but not sure of the progress.

I don't think that is specified in any of the ads.
it's pretty much plant specific, you know in accordance with whatever the driver manager's best formula is to keep drivers happy.
We have a mix of set shifts, rotating and 4 day weeks.
I'm typically home 55 to 65 hours per weekend and of course most nights.

I have to disagree with that one, somewhat. I’ve only been to the plants in Midland, MI, but I’ve always been treated very well. I haul waste out of there five days a week.
