It varies, routine maintenance and unforeseen repairs. You can figure a full service oil change costing $400 to $500 depending the oil you use. I will do at least four full service oil changes this year. My YTD maintenance/repair costs are $15,567.64. I have a 2018 International with an X15.

As much or as little as you are willing to invest but there comes a point where every dollar that you saved by forgoing maintenance will be needed to cover catastrophic failures.

I read a few years ago post warranty maintenance expense was around 12 cents a mile.

Varies depending on what happens and your luck.
Last year my maintenance costs included 18 new tires and a $12k transmission repair, and numerous cheaper things.
So far this year it's only been 2 PMs, a new coolant reservoir, a short coolant hose, and coolant to replace stuff lost when they broke. Although I just developed a small fuel leak from a loose sensor, might just be a matter of tightening it once I get to a lowes tomorrow morning for a proper depth socket.Last edited: Oct 27, 2022
