I stopped hauling GM traffic a month or so ago to haul strictly Toyota. The last GM units I hauled had been stored in gravel or dirt lots in Texas or Mexico for months waiting to be shipped. It made inspecting them properly impossible. If I can’t properly inspect the freight to protect myself against damage done by someone else, it won’t be going on my truck.

That’s all manufacturers right now. I’m seeing rams with grilles dented and Toyotas in Woodstock with rust. I think LDS is about to crash with all the pics being sent in to verify damages

The Toyota’s I haul off the rail now are extremely clean compared to other manufacturers off rail freight. Maybe hauling off rail from a plant helps as all units are inspected, but there is no comparison to other manufacturers “Dirty” freight where I would routinely write up every body panel for an exception.
