So it was the shop that committed the fraud, not necessarily him. Perhaps, he entrusted the wrong party to build the signature truck. However, has he ever addressed the fiasco to wash his hands off any wrongdoing on his part?

No because he’s still buddy buddy with Bruce Mallinson. He’ll never throw him under the bus for anything.

This is hard to understand either way.
Had he or even that Bruce guy admitted to an error, that would have given them more respect than trying to brush it under the carpet, which does not help their business reputation either.
I'd like to know what their take on that fiasco is. Maybe someone would call them on the radio, during the Pittsburgh hour and ask them directly....I actually thought it already happened. Or maybe there's a settlement issue prohibiting them to talk about it.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Pittsburgh power has had a bad reputation for years. Long before the signature truck train wreck.

When I first bought the truck, I almost immediately wanted to go Pittsburgh Power to upgrade to the Mercury Balancer but I was dissuaded by a friend of mine who laughed at the idea wholeheartedly. I thought it was too premature an idea at the time anyway.but I am 900 000 miles further with the original balancer and at 1 400 000 miles now, there's still nothing shaking.
Was that balancer another version of a snake oil?

Didn't the motor also show signs of being put together in a dirty environment? I seem to remember something about debris trapped in the bearings.

But really, what happened with the motor didn't matter, how PP handled it should have removed them from any same individuals option list.

That's what I gathered also. It mentioned the counterbores weren't true and liner protrusion tolerance was off spec in few cylinders too. Which pretty much tells you all you need to know. They tried blaming the Evans coolant from what read but anyone that understands what goes into a good rebuild knows that this engine was doomed before it ever started after seeing what the engine looked like upon inspection. Alot of shotty work and it's a miracle it made it to 100k mile before taking a crap.
