Loads usually shift because of one reason. The fact it was sand had nothing to do with it.

Sand shift
Yeah and I'm the king of England.
That sand didn't shift until the driver's perspective changed about 30 degrees. Its called turning too sharp when driving too fast.RockinChair, Flat Earth Trucker, Opendeckin and 5 others Thank this. -
I love how the car behind it when it flips over just drives around it and keeps going and almost hits the people running over to help get the driver out .

Echoing what every one else is saying, sand doesn’t shift. It’s mounded in that trailer it doesn’t have anywhere to shift to. Hell it’s 2nd/3rd stage standing a trailer up before it starts to break loose.
